Frequently Asked Questions by our clients in Indiana

Q: Do I have a personal injury claim if the accident was my fault?

A: Generally speaking the answer to that question is No, however, you should discuss the issue of fault with your attorney.  It is possible that you are entitled to some sort of recovery if the accident was only partially your fault.  Indiana applies the principles of comparative fault, which serves to reduce your compensation by your percentage of fault.  In any case, you would be required to prove that the fault of other responsible parties was greater than yours.
