Q: How much will I pay in attorney’s fees if I hire a lawyer to handle my claim?

A: That depends on who you hire and how difficult your case is to resolve.  Almost all attorneys will meet with you once to discuss your claim at no cost (free initial consultation).  If you hire them they will charge you a flat fee that is contingent upon them making a recovery for you (no fee if no recovery).  Usually that contingent fee is   33 1/3%, with additional fees added if there is an appeal of a jury verdict.

At Miner Lemon & Walston we do not believe that you should pay us the same percentage whether we work on your case for 3 months or for 3 years.  Therefore, our fees start as low as 20%.
