Frequently Asked Questions by our clients in Indiana

Q:

What is a "No-Zone" area?

A:

The "No-Zone" for a large truck has the same characteristics as the "blind spot" that drivers of passenger cars experience just slightly behind them and to either side.  The problem is that for the driver of a semi tractor and trailer combination this area is much larger.  This area includes the left rear quarter, right rear quarter, and a short distance directly behind the truck.  The truck driver has little or no visibility of objects, including your car, that are in this area.

It is extremely important to remember that if you cannot see a truck driver's mirrors, he cannot see you.  Serious truck crashes are more likely to occur if you operate your vehicle in a truck's "No-Zone."  Staying out of that zone can reduce injuries, deaths, and property damage resulting from motor vehicle crashes involving large trucks.
