"Stand Up" Act in a nutshell

The "Stand Up" Act which is currently being reviewed by Congress woul mean tougher driving laws for teens.  States who fail to enact the legislation would be  penalized by the Federal government.   States not in compliance would lose highway construction dollars.    

The "Stand Up" Act would require teens to be 18 years of age to obtain full licensure, among other restrictions.
